The Dead House has risen the degumming of zombies to the rank of an art. After a through enough portage in episodes 2 and 3, the Wii will finally host an original and jubilant forthcoming opus.

At the outset, the fans can rest assured, the unique atmosphere of The House of the Dead has been preserved. Bad taste, humor at twenty cents, torrents of hemoglobin, the Sega team has worked hard to restore the atmosphere of horror cinema of the 60s. The image is deliberately patina, the soundtrack evokes the films “Pulp” dear to the heart of Tarantino and just take a look under the letter written in levels of blood (“Papa’s Palace of Pain,” “Scream Train… “) to understand that the script never takes itself too seriously. Chronologically situated before the original episode, it is far from devoid the interest since we propose to follow the beginning of the famous Agent G and his sidekick, Issac Washington. The opportunity to try to learn more about one of the most enigmatic characters in the series.

After a delightfully fashioned introduction, the adventure begins by exploring a mansion full of … zombies of course. Do not panic just press the B button to empty a loaded Magnum in the flop (or head for a headshot). Explosions tripper and bloodshed guaranteed! It then reloads a blow with the Wiimote, and as we went in the 40s. Unnecessary anxiety to the idea of getting lost in the corridors of the building or disturbing the environment of the following levels, all trips are scripted in The House of the Dead. However, it is now possible to direct a little camera angle in the direction of our choice to discover hidden bonuses or eliminate enemies lurking in the shadows. We cannot really talk about real mastery of the vision sigh, but this new feature encourages us to replay the levels and search them from top to bottom.

On the new, note that you can shake the Wiimote to fight in a melee or get rid of particularly sticky enemies. The damage is not huge but it helps to defend as a last resort if you do not have time to reload your firearm. About the latter, compulsive shooters excited by the trigger will probably be delighted to learn that we can now build a small arsenal and carry around two weapons of choice for a pleasant change. Shotguns, machine guns, there was much choice when we have enough money to buy them and improve them. There is obviously no question of using both arms simultaneously in action but you can switch at any time. Another new friendly that can regularly be found is the sets of strange lights items to slow down the action. They are particularly useful because they offer us the opportunity to specifically target the weak points of our enemies in all serenity. More anecdotal: mini-games available from the menu can simultaneously accommodate four players but from what we have seen, they do not fly very high.

Finally, it was nice to try to take the dialogues in the second degree, vulgarity wins too often over humor. From the first lines, the characters use and abuse of “motherfucker”, “bitch”, “asshole”, etc… At that point it quickly becomes disgusting. Like many fat sexual allusions, primary violence is omnipresent. Despite this, The House of The Dead: Overkill, still looks a particularly effective to kick up your heels and it is as such that we now look hard in the coming weeks on our consoles. Zombies and mutants will hardly stand on their feet!

The first Rock Band has hit the headlines, it’s the least we can say. We know you suffered and the video game world has a scale of change of its own. As required, the most obvious change in this new version is aesthetic. Guitars, always drawn by the contours of a Fender, have inherited a sunburst finish that will clear copper brown in the center burned on the edges. There is also an effort at the handle to give it a wood effect. On a more technical note the arrival of a tiny camera and microphone to facilitate synchronization with the scores scrolling on the screen.

For its part, the battery changes with the addition of two cymbals. Also note that it has been completely renovated so that the impact of the bucket is less noisy. Moreover, this new generation battery will be sensitive to the strength with which the strikes. This should please any experts who seek to adjust their game that the developers had not specified whether this search for perfection will be rewarded in the game Another improvement on the battery: the pedal which seemed far more robust, more responsive and finally, attached to the crossbar which connects the media drums. We will be able to move the instrument by taking a hand, action facilitated by the news that the battery will be connected to the console through a wireless connection. Regarding the game itself, Rock Band 2 will offer a on total one hundred and four songs. Eighty-four will be available on the disc and the other twenty may be downloaded for free. To this, do not forget to add all of those for the first opus, which will be reflected in this suite. In terms of artists, developers have taken up the idea of playing entire albums, namely those of No Doubt and Foo Fighters among others. Also welcome the arrival of two big elders: Bob Dylan and the excellent Creedence Clearwater Revival with “Fortunate Son”. Oddly, the biggest group so far had been a major missing from games of this type also appears in the tracklist of Guitar Hero: World Tour with a different title, “Up Around The Bend”. So the two rival licenses are still drawing a wad, no doubt to the benefit of players.

At the pure gaming level, Rock Band also innovates in the basic principle of the game with some nice options. We will initiate an accountant who finds us the most lucrative contracts and, therefore, increase your cash flow. Prudence, however, since this gentleman is not always honest. In the same vein, it will be possible to utilize the services of a talented tattoo artist to increase the sex appeal of the group. As you can see, we’ll have to see this part of recruiting game as an investment, the fourteen employees cost some money can also increase the cash flow of you rock band. Also note that the Tour mode will now be played online, it will be possible to establish several tracklist of songs before going on stage and the publisher will allow you to perfect the looks of your music but also to design their held in the smallest detail. And although this result will give fans their services in advance, beginners will not be forgotten. Indeed, it will be possible to activate the “No Fail Mode” already seen elsewhere and, especially, to practice the drums. All this will give you the need to plunge into the hell of rock? Like a concert, it depends on the price of admission…

Remained in the shadow of Resident Evil (with whom it has little in common) and Silent Hill, Project Zero is still a safe bet in survival-horror. Better still, it is complementary to the two sets mentioned above in its construction based on the constant effects of surprise to even make you jump like a frightened virgin. Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is of course no exception to the rule and do not forget to maintain multiple links screenplay with his elders.

Using imagery conveyed by the Japanese and Korean horror film in the last ten years, Project Zero recycles at all costs. From Ring to Ju-On via Dark Water, the tetanize Two Sisters or the interesting Reincarnation, the series by Tecmo sprinkle each of its episodes with passages where the macabre poetry alongside the effects of style sometimes phoned but often striking. In fact, find anything on Wii that made the success of the series on PS2 is not a real surprise in itself.

Without revealing the ins and outs of the story, say it is closer in its atmosphere and architecture to the third episode in the sense that you can embody neither one nor two, but really three young ladies. Operating in the same space that is still looking like a gloomy mansion, lost on the island of misty Rogetsu and secondarily filled with ghosts a bit sticky, the ladies will have to visit the building to discover their past in a sacrificial ceremony. The adventure thus invites us to switch between them depending on the chapter composing this new Project Zero to seek the why and how. As I mentioned earlier, the way does not change an iota, the title playing on the same fears that its predecessors. In fact, do not be surprised to encounter moult ghosts always as receptive to your heavenly camera capable of photographing Amy Winehouse during her fifteenth detoxification wherever you are in the world. In short, a delight for the paparazzi that will be only and exclusive in Project Zero. As usual, you can customize your device and find different types of films more or less powerful.

For the gameplay, saying it does not really evolve because controls are only fitting to the new support. For example, to make a turnaround at 180°, you will need to make a rapid movement of the Wiimote, the object that will also be used to escape from the clutches of an ectoplasm. Of course, the Wiimote, coupled with the Nunchuck, will also move the camera angle to cover the phantoms. In this connection, the shooting remains the same and you will be asked to frame for a few seconds to achieve a picture more or less lethal. Knowing that normal mode, the ghosts have a very good constitution, providing for the departure of the 14 films to be ready for anything, especially during a battle taking place in a small space. In short, Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse has copy and paste to capitalize a little more on a good franchise but beyond the feeling of déjà vu, it would be hypocritical not to admit that it works still devilishly good. As such, the atmosphere has much to achieve perfectly, fast and a scary sound is that playing heavy music and a multitude of small sound giving the suffocating atmosphere. It is regrettable that big delays when opening several doors probably mean hidden loadings. Despite this, it is hard to not shudder facing the parade millimeter spectra we determined to bury six feet under…

Echoing the broad outline of the pattern established in One Piece Unlimited Adventure, the Unlimited Cruise series certainly does more of the element of surprise but it should nevertheless allow us to follow for a long time wandering the straw hat and his band of pirates off standards. Before entering the heart of the matter, it is better to warn immediately the reader: One Piece Unlimited Cruise: Episode 1 is based on narrative elements that we discovered that from Volume 46 of a manga. Thus, although the scenario of the game does not follow the pattern of the series, there are characters and elements that may not have the players not yet reached this stage of history.

At the outset of the adventure, the crew of Luffy now vogues aboard the Thousand Sunny and a new recruit who has nothing to envy to his companions in terms of uniqueness. Brook could almost pass as being normal, if it was not a living skeleton… Beside him, there are Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin and Francky, bringing to nine the number of playable characters in the adventure mode. In addition, each of these actors has a range of attacks and techniques to unlock, fighting hostile individuals who inhabit the five islands making up the story of this first episode of Unlimited Cruise. The player has the opportunity to move from one character to another at any time, each with its own bar life and talents. For example, lianas and bamboo shoots can be cut by someone who has a sharp weapon, like Zoro Brook.

Each tool requires specific materials to be built, most of the game is just to survey the islands in search of these materials. Your team will then create all kinds of tools aboard the Thousand Sunny: a pickaxe to dig stone, a vacuum cleaner to swallow the toxic smoke, a fishing rod or a butterfly net. If Usopp specializes in accessories of all kinds, Sanji expects you to bring back edible food to prepare good meal, while Chopper is hard to fill your health with all kinds of remedies. The inventory grows rapidly to dozens of disparate elements combine to build the tools that enable you to further your investigations on the ground. In the same vein, we find missions system, imposed or secondary, which involves the regular boost of magical power to open secret passages utilizing the talents of Franky or Gabura, a strange creature with a design similar to Chopper.

The more you venture away on an island, the more you’ll have chance of hitting a boss, among which we find most of the opponents that Luffy was led to fight throughout the 46 volumes of the manga published so far. The defeat will not only advance the story but will also unlock these characters in the versus mode, with a total of 30 individuals to unlock. If this is still quite limited, it at least has the merit of enabling the rapid discovery of all the techniques available to each of the protagonists of the game without having to develop them one by one in the adventure mode. The opportunity to see the animations for the special attacks of each brings a lot of fun. If One Piece Unlimited Cruise: Episode 1 has some very good ideas, his approach to marginally limit to an audience of fans, not to mention that the program remains hardly accessible to non-Japanese. One Piece Unlimited Adventure have been entitled to an U.S. version, we cross our fingers for this to be the same with episodes of Unlimited Cruise.

As you may know MySims is a simulation game on Wii. But over the management of family, you can head a Sims and invests in a real mission, if not a destiny: to revive a virtually abandoned city. The next MySims almost deserves to be renamed OurSims. Indeed, MySims Party is a license that offers a real multiplayer aspiration and explores new ways to play video games. However, it forgets nothing that made its success, starting with its so special graphics style and its total originality.

Let’s draw a little schema. Until now, in MySims, we were only seeking quest. Species were being sought and plans to build various objects in order to give new life to some abandoned places. And if we made new friends, they were virtual. Okay, the PC version allowed us to connect with players but no one could take an active part in the game of another lover of this great license. It is with the avowed aim of bringing the multiplayer series that the developers of MySims had the idea of MySims Party. Well … In terms of multiplayer, you will not go to the entire world. Any notion of sharing will stop to the four people present in front of the Wii. But let’s say it’s already a nice beginning.

You know the famous mathematical rule applied to the world of video game to which Game + Wii Play with the word “Party” in its title = party-game. It does not escape either. MySims Party is a series of small funny tests that are very quickly assimilated and who have no other purpose than to provide a playful screen confrontation interposed between friends or within the family members. In all, the Wii version will offer fifty different sets of topics compiled by a dozen festivals. One example is the Music Festival or the Festival of Horror. Do not worry, it will also be a frightening turn in your neighborhood the night of Halloween, MySims oblige. The idea is to pass the tests to establish the elements necessary to build a city. The events resolved within a few tens of seconds for example, will be to escape the last giant robot built by Dr. F., picking up as quickly as possible the scattered papers in an office or to bring the bags left by customers of a hotel to the reception. We have also seen a ski race on a track filled with many bumps. In addition to completing the first, it was to each bond to achieve the combos shown on the screen.

A feature of this title held in team building according to the type of events to come. For example, for races, people should be quick. Each of the avatars available is defined by the criteria of strength, speed, energy and luck. The latter simply makes some things simpler. It should be noted that each event is placed under the sign of one of the above criteria. And when your characters are involved, they gain a point in this category, for example speed. So it will be necessary to diversify because it is simply impossible to do that race if we have chosen a character too quickly. And the points lost can be gained from time to time by participating in a special mini-game in which it will draw lots of cards offering bonus.

MySims Party will also be available in DS version. On the portable Nintendo console, four people can connect to a part by sharing a single cartridge. This version will bring together forty mini-games, ten less than the Wii version.

Who would have thought that the family friendly Wii console from Nintendo would host a game for sweet crazy days as steam as MadWorld? Make no mistake about it, with its black and white graphic with only the red color of blood, MadWorld is a work of unprecedented violence and barbarism without a name. But while Manhunt disturbed by realistic context similar to our daily and conventional weapons, MadWorld plays the cards of immoderation outrageously. Chainsaw, sharp barbs, shredded body, nothing will be spared. Disturbing? Strangely no, not at all. Once the Wii controller in hand, we forget the immoral side of the title to focus on our goal.

In MadWorld, you play Jack, a big guy armed with a chainsaw. At the beginning of the game, Jack engages in a kind of a reality show where the goal is to destroy all other competitors. Using a headset, its “sponsor” guides him in various levels as ranging as the streets of a suburb or a neighborhood featuring Chinese folk decorations. At first glance, the game draws and its visual appearance are compared to original image of the comic book Sin City by Frank Miller. Then comes the time where we fall in love with its simple controls. To give a sudden, you press A to catch a guy we keep the same key and we have the opportunity to hit the balls once we firmly stand by shaking the Nunchuk. In this gaming system, there are a lot of different ways to finish an opponent. When your human punching-ball is well bruised, an icon appears on the screen. It is time to press the Z button to initiate a decapitation, a pulling of the heart or any other funny things of that ilk. Thanks to the accelerometer and gyro capture capabilities of the Wiimote, all you have to do is travel in space similar to the actions of the good old Jack.

If it draws the graphics and controls that we delight, we must admit that it is a third point, which gives MadWorld his irresistible side able to convince all the gamers that we are. This mysterious element that literally sticks us on the screen is none less than a good old system of scoring. Popularized by the first video games, and elevated to the shoot’em up cult, the hunt for points is one of the most addictive and basic concepts of the game. In Madworld, killing an opponent earns you 10,000 points. If you knock out, you throw him a couple of balls and send him on a wall with spades, you will get 20,000 points. But this is just the beginning! There is so much to do with your little friends, the levels are full of various objects. A barrel, a tire, signs… All of which will allow you to make your enemies harmless and the time to finish others and your counter points will fly. Combined with fixed elements of the decor as the garbage dumpster lid guillotine or butcher hooks on which you can literally play yoyo with the victim, you can just imagine the scores of madness that will result. And then when you’re tired of dragging feet on these points to the wall to the nearest peak, draw your chainsaw with the Z button and steam, stirring up the Wiimote in any direction. They are much sought after all.

By pushing the score to unlock the boss and some fun weapons all over each other (swords, baseball bats with nails, etc…), MadWorld is a video games that will bring more than pleasure.

While scorpions and tarantulas are generally slaughtered by the heroes of most RPG and all other beat’em, Deadly Creatures offers us the opportunity to become one of those horrible creatures today and to explore the labyrinths infested with vermin. Brrrr!

Pertussis of casual players, Wii hosts traditionally family games party, brain coaches or public platforms games. Who would have thought therefore that developers of Deadly Creatures can choose this as a console exclusive title, it is disturbing? For once, in fact, it is not about caring for a shetland or save a princess in nice flower but to confront our fears of the most stubborn child diving head first into an universe populated by snakes, spiders and other forms of repulsive life.

You may have grown in the country and have the habit of getting face to face with all kinds of crawling insects, but the first contact with Deadly Creatures is not reassuring. Hardly ever on the menu that a huge black widow already rides in the background. Worse after a few seconds, now it flows furiously against the screen, frantically beating the air with his poisonous hooks. Needless to say, if you view this unbearable, it is strongly advised not to go further. Difficult to suppress a shudder when we discover, utter amazement, the savagery with which the real monster is able to clean around it. And yet, this is a taste of the destructive power of the scorpion, the other bug that you will embody a little later.

The adventure, principally to achieve a defined set of objectives at each level begins in a real maze of cactus and rocks. Spider forces, it is not only possible to move horizontally but also vertically climbing along the rock walls or vegetation. It takes certainly a little adjusting time to get used to it and explore 3D environments, but the help comes quickly. Contrary to what one might expect, life in the desert is anything but relaxing. Indeed, every rocky literally crevice teems of life and we must fight constantly to not finish as a chopped steak. Fortunately, our tarantula has a whole arsenal of techniques that increases as we progress. For example, we can project a silk wire on our opponent to secure a few moments before returning the enemy and jump on it. We can also load poisoned attacks or quickly rotate on ourselves. So much that the fighting usually turn in his favor. And if we were to leave feathers (well, some hair…), we can still be cured by eating some hoppers and some grasshoppers.

For a pleasant change, we can also lead a scorpion in certain levels. Slow and lumpish, which compensates for its lack of agility by the strength of its shell and its powerful claws. Thus, if it cannot use the silk wire to reach inaccessible places, it is able to dig under the ground and follow tunnels. His fighting technique is most often to counter the attacks of his opponents then to respond angrily. As long as his unfortunate victim starts dying, then he may finish with a beautiful finishing move by carrying out specific actions to the Wiimote. In short, the scorpion has a very different sensation from the tarantula and indeed, they even come to regret that no other bugs to embody. Because in one case as in the other, the Wiimote controls are responsive, architecture levels is complex with varied situations. We are already looking forward to say that Deadly Creatures is looming as one of the most original productions for the beginning year on Wii.

More than two years after investing the screens of Xbox 360 owners, the zombies of Dead Rising take the nice little Wii. If the game keeps the fun of his style, why ignore this new version?

Before diving further into the stinking bowels of the beast, take a few seconds to remember the context of the adventure, an identical course than the version 360 of course. The player embody Frank West, a nosy reporter, which aspires to get the scoop of the century. The shape of a boxer, a trucker Belarusian faces, replicas of the dead and a furious motivation, this is what you can expect when you see the guy. After a short trip by helicopter over a curiously American town in quarantine by the U.S. Army, Frank will finally end up trapped in a mall, a sort of giant shopping center particularly appreciated in this country. Unfortunately, this consumption temple, once so peaceful, is now infested with corpses and survivors traveling more or less helpless. Because, if the majority of them do ask to be rescued, the others seem almost more dangerous than zombies because of their fear, their folly, their unconscious motivations or their secrets. But on this particular subject, we will voluntarily silent because we don’t want to spoil the surprise.

This is also a transition to say the least clumsy that we will nonetheless address the issue of handling. Note as well that in general we will not complain too much the work done by Capcom in this particular area. Indeed, after a short period of time, you should be able to develop without too much problem in the bowels of the mall. The camera, once free like the wind, is now stuck to the back of the beautiful Frank, like in Resident Evil 4. To use your gun, this view is generally effective but for the corporal, however, it quickly becomes clutter. It is often possible to bludgeon rather than hit the vacuum bags of meat, which is still a bit frustrating. And as we talk about frustration, provided the opportunity to mention two enemies the will rot for all your games. Open your ears my good friends because it is neither more nor less than terrifying, and evil, despicable poodles and other zombie parrots. The monsters are present in numbers in each section of the mall and take a joy to run over you at the slightest opportunity. We believe that the mall was more of a giant pet shop than a real giant shopping mall.

And since it is almost impossible to get rid of these famous creatures in fighting, you must also use firearms, with all it implies: unable to move and obligation to triturate the camera while suffering the onslaught of “normal” zombies at the same time. A hit in the teeth, and poof, you lose sight of your target or stop your reloading. In short, two enemies whose curious omnipresence risk to offend the least patient players. But the time has come to conclusion and to that end we will say that Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop will only disappoint fans of the 360 version, while novices, young innocent souls will obviously not have the same look at this game by Capcom. Much less hardcore than the original version, with a consistent backup system, the software seems able to deliver its hit’em all quota and good times for owners of Wii. For the final verdict, we hope to see you next February 27 when the zombies of Dead Rising will try again to spread their evil and their guts on our world.

Konami let itself be drawn into the tendency to cross-over with Castlevania Judgment which marks the encounter of the most charismatic characters in the series. A radically different way from what Koji Igarashi used us since it is neither more nor less than a 100 % fighting game.

Within two decades, the Konami gothic saga took the time to make a name with players in a sprawling building on a large number of different media. Today, the series extends primarily on consoles, waiting to know what will happen in the next major opus announced on PS3 and Xbox 360. As with SoulCalibur Legends, the Wii will finally be entitled to an episode of this prestigious marginal saga, the one this is the subject of this overview. Designed for the most unconditional fans, Castlevania Judgment certainly does not have the aura that characterizes the other parts of the series, but it is still a good opportunity to unwind alongside the cult figures of the saga.

First cross-over in the history of the Castlevania license, this game has to gather the most emblematic figures of the saga. Yet the range of playable characters does not even reach the half of what we expected and hardly explaines the absence of some players that would have richly deserved their place in this episode. The designers had to make choices to keep only the most essential characters according to them, mainly in digging among the founder episodes of the saga. Starting with Simon Belmont, who distinguished himself in the first two NES episodes and remains the most famous hero of the series although he is not the first keeper of the Vampire Killer in the timeline. Then four caraters from Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. This is Trevor Belmont, Grant Danasty, Syph Belnades and Alucard, the half man half-vampire hero from Symphony of the Night, yet san and enemy of Dracula. Have not been forgotten either Maria Renard, discovered in Rondo of Blood with Richter Belmont, and Cornell, the werewolf, which had been added on the second version of the Nintendo 64 episode, Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness. Finally, Eric Lecarde, wielding the entrusted spear by Alucard, came without John Morris, his acolyte of Castlevania Bloodlines on Megadrive

Note that, by default, the game offers you to try handling both the Wiimote and the Nunchuk, and shake the remote every time you want to attack. Enough to have cramping wrist in just a few minutes before returning to reason and opt for a more efficient handling pad with a GameCube or Wii Classic Controller. Various bonuses will be made available easily if you connect the game to the last episode on DS, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. In addition to the Survival and versus modes, we note the possibility to participate in online battles via Wi-Fi, but also to see the available bonuses in the gallery. Finally, during the game, sometimes you unlock all sorts of accessories that you can equip on your characters to change their appearance. A pretty nice visual delirium which allows more or less to extend the life of the game, but does not compensate for the somewhat limited nature of the content and the boredom generated by the gameplay. It is clear that for a title that is a tribute to a series of such magnitude, Castlevania Judgment may unsettle fans who surely have a far more ambitious vision of a cross-over. Expected for the coming weeks, this title will still be welcome, IGA has not yet announced any alteration of the license on the very popular Nintendo console.

The characters are very similar grapichs to those before, but the lighting effects and scenery graphics are extremely beautiful. You can actually hide in a bush without seeing little pixels all over your screen.

It’s sensitivity and control scheme could use some work though, sepifically the sensitivity of aiming. According to IGN’s hands-on in order to make the game more enjoyable they had to “…tightened everything as much as possible to get a better feel for the max sensitivity, and while it worked well enough for us to navigate and battle it out on the field, it could still be much, much tighter…”. Unfortunately, this may cause some negative changes to the game.

The game will have an online multiplayer mode with the same features as COD4, but no news so far in the splitscreen department besides the co-op mode in story mode. The Wii mic will not be used for voice chat.

Setting aside all of it’s negative things so far, this game could be the best FPS on the Wii since Medal of Honor: Heroes 2. The game is rated M and will be released;
