Nintendo Wii is a game console that is known for its interactive and full entertainment packages. The concept behind the Nintendo Wii is revolutionary and perfectly in line with what some advocators shunned many video games for. The positive result of becoming active has currently made light of people’s claims that video games are unhealthy because they provide no movement.

When Nintendo Wii first game on the market the game package typically came with Wii Sports which is a game consisting of mini games such as bowling, tennis, golf, etc. The game itself uses controls that can be placed in other accessories to make the game seem more real. For instance, on a game like Mario Kart for Nintendo Wii, you can place the remote control in a small plastic steering wheel. This makes it easier to grab a hold of and steer it as if you were really driving the car.

More Ideas From Nintendo Wii

Nintendo Wii has done it again. They have developed another remote that has more precision in the gaming aspect. They have developed this tool for on main reason. The games they are producing currently need to extra precision. The Wii Motion Plus accessory will allow for a 1:1, creating a real time reaction.

Currently Nintendo Wii games are responsive to game play, but exaggerated motions are needed. With the new Wii Motion Plus, every move made is recorded. The Wii Motion Plus simply hooks on to the existing Wii remote making it easy to use.

The new accessory works as an added sensor bar to work with the sensor bar for the game system. This helps give a perfectly accurate three dimensional rendition of the movement of the player.

New Games with New Technology

With the new Wii Motion Plus, there are new games that are slotted to make their way onto the market. The precision tool will help with new games such as Nintendo Wii Sports Resort where new games will show up such as sword playing, Frisbee throwing and Jet Skiing. These are all games that needed a more exact timing from the player in order to pull it off. Now that the Wii Motion Plus is available, these games are no longer ones that will be gawked over. They have now been put into motion!

Another new game that has come out is the Wii Music, which is another twist to Guitar hero and Rock Band. This game differs in the fact that you cannot loose. This is a game for fun and relaxation. People just get together to make music!

As described above, this is Nintendo’s way of showing a less edgy side and making games fun and less competitive. They are able to still capture gamers attention because of the physical attribute. No other game console can effectively capture the mind and body motions of a person reacting to a game. As Nintendo Wii keeps releasing new information, we will see what the creative minds come up with next.

Even among these hard economic times, the Nintendo Wii industry is still going as strong as ever. Nintendo Wii was the first game console to break over ten million sales in its first year. That is an amazing sale volume that seems to be holding strong even in today’s market.

What Makes Nintendo Wii So Popular?

The Nintendo Wii is a game console of the future. It made technological breakthroughs as being the first ever physically interactive game console. Some people do not completely look at it like a game console, but rather a complete entertainment system. Moreover, the Nintendo Wii has produced games that even normal game players find themselves participating in.

Games Available

Nintendo Wii games are all great; however, there were the top sellers of the year 2008. The number one position went to Wii Play. This Nintendo Wii game offers nine games of action and skill. Some of these games include: table tennis, air hockey, shooting gallery and billiards. This game is fun with the different accessories such as tennis rackets you can get to make it more real.

Second up was the famous Mario Kart Wii game. This was always a popular game brought out by Nintendo, but when they made it for the Nintendo Wii console, it really soared in sales. The Mario Kart game accessories are steering wheels. This is also a great game for multi players, as there can be more than 3 people playing at a time!

The third most popular was the Nintendo Wii Fit game. This was a popular game on all fronts. Nintendo Wii really dispelled the concept of video games being unhealthy and stagnant. With the Wii concept, you can exercise and dance your way to being fit. Accessories are the Wii fit mat package.

Smash Brothers Brawl was number four and ranked close. Many people enjoy this game because it has all the attributes of a great game. The action, multi-player combinations allowing up to four people, single player challenges and an excellent music composition, makes the Smash Brothers Brawl higher than a number four rank in many people’s book.

Although the Nintendo Wii Guitar Hero did not place on the top four, it is a very fun, exciting and challenging game. The concept caught on almost automatically and went from one single guitar to making a whole band. During the Rock Band game, you assemble a group of people to play different instruments. The people then follow the prompts on the screen to try to match the beat and pitch of the song being played. Ultimately, they rank the performance on how accurately the band played. You can see positive and negative results through the way the crowd reacts.

There is no wonder why Nintendo Wii is topping the charts and taking nearly 20 out of the 30 positions on the best sellers list. The revolutionary game play has landed in the homes of many and has become a regular part of many people’s day.

When it comes to gamers, they have many different consoles. It does not matter which console it is, a true gamer will typically want them all. There is something much different about the Nintendo Wii. Ever since it was introduced, people continue to try and get their hands on one. Even today, a Nintendo Wii is fairly hard to come by.

Nintendo Wii marketing took a very sound marketing tactic on when they started the distribution of the gaming console. Unlike its predecessors, the Nintendo Wii is not only revolutionary, is also still a high demand item. This is because Nintendo Wii created a demand by only issuing some every so often. It is known that when a company limits production, they are creating a higher demand for the item. In turn, this creates a higher or stable price range for that item. In fact, this is where the Nintendo Wii sits.

Most game consoles lose steam after about a year. This is not the case with the Wii. The Wii has actually gained momentum due to the exceptional marketing tactics. Not only has Nintendo Wii produced an amazing game system that allows the user to be part of the game, it has included accessories to purchase separately to get the most out of the game.

Why Are Accessories Important?

Some people question why accessories for gaming systems are so important. Accessories, especially the Nintendo Wii accessories, heighten the game experience. What is better; holding a stick when driving or holding a steering wheel when driving? They both work, however, the wheel is a lot more fun because it adds to the realness factor. Take for example the Rock Back or Guitar Hero. Now, of course these games require that you purchase the accessories, but would it be as much fun picking on an object that does not even look like a guitar? Like above, it would work, but would not be as fun.

Accessories for the Nintendo Wii are moderately priced and generally affordable to most. This makes them even better. Other game consoles have been known to have accessories in the past but the Wii has really outdone itself. The overall consensus on the Wii accessories is they really accentuate the experience. There is not a Wii player out there that does not own a pair of Nun Chucks or a steering wheel for Mario Kart Wii.

Other Options in Gaming

Other options in gaming include the Nintendo DS, X-Box, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PSP, Apple Ipod and more. Each of these consoles offers a different gaming experience as well as platform. Some gaming consoles are portable, as the DS and the Apple Ipod, and some are stationary. These would include game consoles such as the Wii, X-Box, PlayStation, etc. With regards to the Nintendo Wii, you can purchase a carrying case that holds the actual game console along with some accessories. This is a way you can take your Wii on the go!
