Wii Online!!!

I have been wanting to get online for my Wii and I think I finally can afford it without having to worry about not buying anything else so I was wondering what EXACTLY I need.

Now I went on Nintendo.com and they said that you will need:

1. A Wireless Router (Recommended)
The Wii is compatible with most wireless routers and their security features. If you do not yet own a wireless router and would like information on what to look for, click here. 2. Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector
Originally released for the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector inserts into a USB port on a PC (Windows XP required) and creates a wireless access point for your Nintendo DS or Wii. 3. A wired access point using the Wii LAN Adapter
If you have a wired access point, such as wired router or broadband modem, the Wii LAN Adapter can be used to enable an ethernet connection from your wired access point to the USB ports on the Wii console. So I am really confused can someone help?

I'd get number one 'cause most people I know have one and it's easier to use and get everything set up :D

I'd use the usb because it costs less even though it isn't as easy to use as a router, but it is worth it.

yeah USB its easy to install and you dont need to fiddle around with your internet settings just install, search for an access point and surf the net :D

I have used number one and two, and they're both basically easy to use. For the USB connector, all that is needed is to install, and it's ready. The wireless router may need additional codes (like the WEP key) before surfing the Web, but neither is that a hassle.
I wouldn't use the wired connection, unless the room where the Wii is is close to the computer's room. I hate wired crap like that, anyway.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't cost a lot because I also have one and it was pretty cheap.

Yeah cause my friend said the one for the ds was 20 and it works on the Wii so 20 would be ok.

Umm I have no idea what you mean but my friend went to Wii Settings, then he went to "connection" and put "wireless" and it said "Use USB Port" or "Search for Access Point" and the Access point found a girl named Anne and he could go online using her connection and when I tired it didnt work but I'm going to try again today ^_^

NOOOO!!! You NEVER want to do that! You won't be paying for he money but the person that owns the connection will! And you can get another person's access point if you live near someone else. You have to make sure you know which one is yours.

you dont pay to access yours or anyones router, all you pay is your standard internet operator charge, nintendo Wi-Fi is 100% free no matter how much i go on its always £17.99 per month on my internet bill.
If it did charge people would be forced to use WEP key codes
