worst thing i recon is the trojan horse sits there undeted and downloads add ware and spyware untill it gets a virus!!! they havork is let lose!

Scariest thing would be if we became far to dependant on them. i.e. the military becomes over-automated to save money etc etc.

I know it sounds a bit \'Hollywood\' but Terminator I, II and III ... it\'s possible. Thankfully at the moment our governments are not that insane and know their limits.

well its called History and its on all computers

Internet history... thats just the tip of the iceberg....

-Recent documents list (but easily emptied)
-There are entries in the registry that records every program that is loaded and when
-Windows media player has a recent file list
-Real player has a recent file list
-Quicktime has a recent file list
-Windows XP backs up your registry files to a seperate location everytime you log off (so even if you work out how to delete the above lists, previous records are still accessible on your hard drive)

if you delete files you dont want other ppl to know you had... there is software that can be recover them even if deleted from the recycle bin.. AND EVEN AFTER A COMPLETE REFORMAT OF YOUR HARD DRIVE!

Oh and the folder where the registry back-ups are put is hidden and only accessible by your pc\'s master administrator account (not admins or users).

the worst thing that could happen to a PC would be a super virus that can be spread through not only one thing, like just email, but any type of online activity, and where it checks your computer for other emails and usernames and sends it to them, then after it does that, it just completely wipes your whole computer clean forcing you to reinstall windows and lose all your files. Also forgot to mention that this super virus would be able to cut through any firewall instantly and is spread globally, thus shutting down the whole world economy until they can somehow fix it and block it. :D

well i had some virus that everytime i connect to the internet it goes to there sites and it took ages to get rid of as i had to go in the registry
