there\'s nothing wrong with religion really. it\'s just when people are fanatical about it that the problems start. i\'m fine with people believing in religion if that helps them to get through their lives and be good people. i just don\'t like when people try to push their religion in your face.

Religion is never going to go away if you think about it.. Every human being wants to know where we originate from... that in a word IS what religion is.

If you believe in God you are Christian
If you believe in Allah you are Muslim
If you totally believe in science that makes you a scientologist
If you dont believe in anything your an Athiest

I think Scientologists, believing in science only... means that they believe once you are dead thats it... the signals in your brain are gone, you know longer know that you exist and whats left of your body just decomposes.

Hmm well I believve that religion doesn\'t have as much impact on teh world as the guys who started this topic say it is, I think the oly thing that causes wars is people with your thinking. I think more people will more liklely listen to science than religion, peopel think there is more fact is science when really, it is more down to theories and alot of guess work, in all honesty peopl are more likely to accept science because it is easier. I myself am not a religious person, but if the whole world followed one religion, think how great it would be? Now imagien if everyone followed sicece? What we were taught in schools would change everyday, and there would be definately more wars over etchnology more disatrous weapons taht could destroy the whoel world!

quite right though, religion will always be arround people need something or some one to believe in, whether its god, science. theres nothing wrong in having a little faith. funny though i wouldnt class my self in any of the categories above, im just one of theose people that get on with it and have a bloody good laugh/time as im going along!

I just personally feel sorry for religious people as they will live thier life believing in something that may not even be real. I mean, when you die, you die. If you sin, you go to hell? That\'s bullshit man. A sin doesn\'t make you a bad person, thinking that someone who sins makes you a bad person. religion sucks in my opinion as many people will follow something they have been handed to as a child or brought up in someway shape or form. You wouldn\'t be religious if you grew up with apes would you?

Yes but alos wouldn;t be intelligent if you weren;t sent to school, some people need somethign to start whatever they decide e.g. people need to be told religion to believe it, then tehy foudn the rest out for themselves, like you need to be told how build a computer or someone to build one for you then you find out to turn it on and it use it yourself! I am toally confused on this matter... I was brought up Christian but I am not a practising Christian myself.... Here\'s a couple reasons why....

Arguments Against Christianity.....

1. The book of Genysis clearly states that the heavens and the Earth were made in 7 days (we now know that this does not fit in with how Earth/the solar system evolved). The only theory I have to fix this contradiction is that the story of genysis was probably written in this simple way to help us understand the creation; because it would be impossible for us to understand it in full... especially over 2000 years ago. The bible itself states that these things are not understandable by humans.

2. There is no mention in the bible of any mamals superior to humans i.e. The dinosours... and we now know that they existed. Simple fact.

Arguments Against the more scientific Evolution theory...

1. I do believe in life after death, I have witnessed some things to almost proove it.

2. There has never been a direct link between Apes and Humans (evolution). Yes apes are very similar to humans but how come we have never found much in the way of half man half ape species..... ever ... where did they all go if they exist ?

3. For me this is the biggest thing.... There are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on Earth .... scientists believe most of these stars have planets like our own star, the sun. In the last few years hundreds of these \'outer-solar-system\' planets have already been prooven to exist by astronomers. NOT ONE of them so far have been found to be able to harbour life. And there is not one case of real proof of aliens. That in my opinion makes Earth amazingly unique and has a purpose which we do not yet understand.

So now what do I believe?? TOTAL CONFUSION THATS WHAT. :- :- :- :- :-
